What does God say about the new world?
I've just been struggling with one thing that it seems to me a christian can't answer, so if you can answer it logically then be my guest. I just don't understand why Jesus would spread his word in the middle east, and completely neglect the Americas. Obviously the Aztecs and the Mayans were pagans with multiple gods - seemingly satanic gods, in which they worshiped for centuries before European interference. The Native Americans, including all of their tribes which existed had no way of hearing about Jesus, though each tribe was spiritual in their own way (their religions being much more innocent then that of the Aztecs). I guess what I'm getting at is, they all had been around years before Jesus even existed. So what the hell? I don't even understand the "christian missionaries" who spread the word at the time. Many Native Americans were very in tune with a lot of the bibles teachings. Some with no desire or thought of owning worldly things, such as land. Instead they treated the earth like the god that they worshiped. I think it would be against God's will to force Jesus into their lives, especially if the consequence for not doing so was to go to hell. Imagine being native to America, while it was young, beautiful, and untouched by urbanization. Then a white person comes along claiming that if they don't accept Christ, they will surely go to hell. Your impression would not be to trust the white man, especially after watching his kin your homeland. Like I said, please be practical with your answers if you have any.
