the cheaper straightener you get, the cheaper your hair will look :p in other words, you pay for what you get for. get the GHD and i promise, you will be satisfied because yes it is a bit pricey however it does not damage your hair as much as a cheap straightener would. Also, use a thermal protector before you straihgten your hair, you can get it at walmart for cheap its called tresemme heat protection spray. When you use that, there is less damage to your hair which equals less split ends with equals smooth silky yummyness :]
