How can I regain my sense of smell? (and taste)?

OK so I got this cold from this kid at school. (Annoying.) Anyways, haha, i had this sore throat for 2 days, and that went away. Then I got the hint at a stuffy nose and the next day I had one and it was runny too. I took some medicine for 2 days but then it remained the same, I guess? I also have a congested sinus. My nose is a combination of runny, stuffy and nasty. I can't really smell, but this morning I could smell a little. I can't taste either. My voice sounds funky, too. How do I get rid of this? (Home remedies appreciated.) Thanks, sorry for the length.
