Can u tell if this guy like mee or no?

so the week b4 christmas break me and this guy were texting. and the last day b4 break he just stopped. and i was like ok? and next month is the sadies hawkins dance (where girl ask guy) and so this last tuesday he randomly tests me this" hi" and i say "hey" and he says "how it goin" and i saidd "goood..... wbu?" and he said "uhh ive been better" and i said"oh well thats good" and he said "im in track and baseball now" and i say" oh thats cool" and then he says "but i hate my baseball team" and i said " oh that sux" and he just said" so r u goin to ask anyone to sadies?" and i said" umm idkk yet" and he said ohhh okk then well i dont really care if i go or not cuz im so busy with practice and stuff.. soooooo...i thought that him asking me that randomly put me off guard soo now im wondering if YOU thinks he like me or not? shud i ask him or not?
